We stumbled upon this cool video by D4Darious which talks about the mistakes made by beginner filmmakers. He runs an amazing Youtube channels that has a lot of insightful videos for young filmmakers. Not only is the video informative but his delivery is also fun.
Weak story and script, cliches, bad sound, poor casting choices, action for the sake of action and cliches are some of the most common mistakes that he points out in this video. While its useful to learn by making mistakes, it is probably smarter to learn from the mistakes of others.
